I think it would be about the same. The QB they have now is pretty good.

Probably no loss to the Huskies, but Oregon still woulda crushed us. With 1 league loss there'd still be a chance...crazy stuff happens in this conference. But with two losses and the tie-break going to the Ducks...we're probably looking at the Petunia Bowl.

Sanchez did the right thing...and I bet he saw the team losing all those defensive starters to the NFL plus a couple important coaches, and factored that into his decision.

Well, another week is upon us. Florida gets an SEC bottom-feeder, and Texas goes up against another of their out-of-conference powerhouses! USC at ASU could be a good game, but no longer of much interest outside the Pac.

But, I think there's more intriguing Top 25 stuff than even last week...

1. LSU at Alabama. The week's marquee game. Both of them did schedule one Big 6 opponent outside the SEC for the year, so each gets credit for that. Who to pick? Roll Tide.

2. Ohio St at Penn St. A midwest brawl. Decent records for both. PSU's 7th home game of the year..what is that all about? Gotta pull for the Buckeyes...not that it'll help SC's BCS points anymore.

3. Oregon at Stanford. Letdown game for the Ducks? I really want the upset but don't see the gosh-awful green uniforms tanking the season like they did in 07.

4/5. Honorable mentions to Oklahoma at Nebraska (Huskers) and Oregon State at California (Golden Bears).

Maybe this week somebody I'm rooting for will actually win....

Does anyone know why USC dropped the game against LSU in 2012 and Alabama in 2013?

Beavers won't win. They're done getting overlooked by Cal. It'll be a statement game for Cal. Although I hope they win as always.

I don't know for sure, but it ALWAYS seems to come down to being unable to agree on who's home field, and/or neutral field. Money. The answer to EVERYTHING is money.
