still getting email notifications

I am still getting email notifications even though I selected "no email" under subsprictions in my options.....still getting emails every time someone posts a reply.

You need to unsubscribe from the threads in which you are subscribed. Or if you want, I can unsubscribe you from all of them.

He shouldn't have to unsubscribe from the threads he's subscribed to. It should just remove email notifications if he selects "subscribe with no email notification".

Not correct, that will just keep him from becoming subscribed to new threads and getting emails (the default option). It will not unsubscribe him. He can selectively go through his list of subscribed threads individually, or we have to do it for him (with no option to do it individually)

Yeah that's what I thought...still want to be subscribed so when I check my user cp, they ae still there, just don't want my mailbox getting stuffed up

Look at which threads are notifying you, and find it in your list of subscribed threads, then change the notification for that thread (do this for all of them)
