Well I picked the whipple because I liked the fact that it is in fact a complete kit (for the 05+) including the GT500 fuel system. With the KB they offer the BAP. Hell the whipple kit even comes with HT0 spark plugs, and compared to a couple buddies that run KB's, I have cooler IAT's---and the supercharger itself is much cooler after a run vs the KB.
I think if you are going to run a stock bottom end, this debate is really pointless as all three (KB, Whipple, Saleen) are capable of making more power then your stock bottom end can handle.
That being said, I have been really impressed by my friends white GT, running a 2.6H KB, that thing is street driven to the track (like I do) and he consistently hits mph 128-130 in the 1/4.
Here is my own video I made of me (whipple) losing to a KB twice. Of course the supercharger is a 2.6 vs my whipple being a 2.3, but other then that both cars very similar.

If you have any questions on the kenne bell unit please give us a shout. Also as another important point as far as customer service & support kenne bell is far superior over whipple ( i speak from personal experience)....

That's ridiculous. The Whipple kit is the most complete. The intercooler is larger, so is the heat exchanger. It comes with a superior fuel system (GT500), it even comes with spark plugs. When I was shopping for my twin screw the guy I talked to at KB was an asshole. He wanted to argue with me about running near 500 rwhp. I did have a problem with my Whipple system....a defective part. Art Whipple (the owner) handled my problem personally and even called me later to see if it all worked out. Not to knock the KB twin screw because it is a nice blower.

KB has never responded to any emails or phone calls........so I went Whipple. The Whipple is a better looking unit anyway. :P

Whipple!
KB has the most horrible customer service I've ever experienced. Just like one of their performance shop dealers I've dealt with whom I will never deal with again trying to shop for a blower (won't say the name of the shop since they are on here) Never answered any of my questions that I asked when shopping for a blower. they just bragged on how their blower is the best, put ya a 500HP yada yada yada, those weren't the questions I asked. BAP, don't believe in it, its garbage! Cutting the engine bay to route an intake, not my cup of tea!
The whipple is a true complete kit giving you everything you need, unlike KB kit.

I agree with the above posters...Whipple IS the most complete kit, and will give you plenty of room to grow if and when you are ready to make more power. And Whipple customer service is great, they WILL call you back, and do everything they can to help you out. And quality & fitment are outstanding. And, And, And...lol. You would not regret spending your money on a Whipple.....If you plan on doing the install yourself, and just want the best price, Tousley Ford is the place to buy it, guaranteed !

For price, no one can touch Steve @ Tousley. For service, I don't think anyone can match Jared @ Lethal Performance....and for a close second, Mickey at Hardcore Mustangs.

There is a lot to be said for maintaining your warranty. A couple of things to consider first is total cost. The Whipple is a great SC and so is the Kenne Bell.
What is your total out of pocket for purchase, install and dyno tune for both units.
The Whipple was not availalbe for the 4.6L for 2002 so we went with the Kenne Bell. You can install the KB yourself in about a day if you are mechanically inclined. Their instruction manual could only be improved with color photos.
1 week after install of the KB, we drove 2200 mile to Myrtle Beach SC for Mustang Week. We averaged 23mpg cruising pretty good all the way. We were very happy with the fuel economy. That was a non-intercooled 6 psi version putting down about 340 to the wheels.
The bigger blower kits certainly allow you to put some huge psi into the motor. I can't comment on how the new motor's bottom end will survive.
I can say that I am very happy with the Kenne Bell. I would let cost and then your desire for warranty to drive your decision.
