Comp Cams is releasing Thumper Cams for 3v they sound nice. I spoke with them about a FI cam with the same sound and they thought it could be done.

Here is a link to the Thumper Cams
Sound Clip
They will have 3 stages, the clip has the stage 2 cams in it

These comp cams have a lump to the idle

Any news on this?

Even though you lost some boost PSI, how did the HP/TQ respond? I could see it possibly gaining HP up top even though boost was down a little due to the increased flow. Just curious, thanks.

Hammeron did a complete howto install on the FRPP hot rod cams and a before/after dyno numbers with a whipple on mustangforums, there you can find the data and his view on this.

At first it lost about 12 hp down low but picked up 14 on the top so overall in the hp department is was about a loss. I do not remeber exact but i belive the torque did the same thing.

After the cam install we did do a 10% overdrive on the crank which brought all the power back plus a little but then again we thru another 2-3 lbs of boost at it which does not make it exactly fair for comparison.

Sorry i do not have more exact data but if you are going to run a blower with cams i would recomend going with Comp Cams blower profile.
