Default aftermarket 2v heads, yeah right!

I have called all three major cylinder head manufacturers with no results. neither edelbrock, trick flow or patriot are even working on a set of 2v heads for us 2v guys.

The reason i started asking around is because patriot just came out with a new 3v head for 05+ cars that supposedly flows better then ported stock 3v heads.

according to all three companys i called not a single one even has a 2v head on the drawing board. edelbrock wont touch any ohc cylinder head because they are too precise and expensive to manufacture. trickflow is busy with alot of mopar stuff for the next year or so and patriot had a 2v head on the drawing board at one time that swapped the intake and exaust valves around in order to get better flow but abandond the project for reasons not given to me.

So I gues the 2v guys are stuck with ported factory heads. not that we can make big power with them but it would be nice to not be backed into a corner when it comes to building a new engine.

anyone heard anything different? this sucks.

Pretty much stuck with ported stock heads. They can still make power. Its nothing like the fox body head market.

I know its we can still make alot of power but it would be nice to have a better flowing head out there. I guess these companys dont think there is much of a market for them.

Those companies that feel there isn't a market for the 2v family out there . Are sadly mistaken. How many 2v car's are running out there ? I got so sick of it. That I'm doing a Cobra engine swap in my 04' GT. There are so many options out there, it's crazy. I would highly recommend Fox Lake though. I have ONLY heard great things about there work. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

the only company I head heard of that had one close was afr. A trip to the edelbrock factory years ago had a strange looking modular motor on a dyno stand that I never did find out what it was. Got to see a prototype intake for the 4.6l about a year before it came out running a carb and a harley nitrous pull was a pretty fun day.

Not trying to jack the thread, but we were discussing today putting 3valve heads on a 2 valve motor. Been done? Done right, the 3valves can flow just about as good as a 4 valve. Anyone heard of it being done? Is it possible?
