i do not like dynos for one reason--- they beat the crap out of engines doing various tests---- more failures come from dyno runs---- yours probably just took a little longer to fail

Are they billet cams or regrinds? I'm assuming they are billet since you say they are good to 8000 rpm's.

the point I made was the tuner on the Dyno made several runs to 7000+ to see where the power would fall over. These are custom Billet cams not regrinds. I had 400+ regular street driven miles back and forth to work. When this happened I just filled the car up with gas and was pulling out of the gas station in second gear, at 1800 rpm.
I would have understood if this happened on the dyno at a high RPM... why it doesnt make sense to me is that it happened at 1800 rpm cruising speed of 35 mph...

How many R's were you running? Justin Burcham has been trying to get the stock pcm to allow more than the mid 7000 rpm range with his silver '05. His motor is good to 8k rpm's.

did you notice a slight ticking before this happened. consider yourself lucky, mine took the cam with it. the lifter is proly f..ed up too
