Just leave the yoke that connect the driveshaft to the transmission inside the transmission.

I suggest that you do the pilot bearing and get the Lethal TOB Retainer and some other stuff while you at it if you don't have them

Here is a video to help you with your upcoming install:

I'm sure these guys left some important details, but don't worry, I'm sure someone will chime in on that.... And good luck.

a sandwich bag and heavy duty rubber bands will only let a tad of fluid out

If you ever go to an event at a track go to the "general parts retailer" they will have a bunch of them for sale.

ok so I'm midway. I'm going to drain the tranny, how much fluid does it take to refill? I'm going to fill it from the top inside the car through the shifter's hole. I read cobra bobs site and it said 4.1 quarts... I'm going to use some royal purple, what do people use Synchromax?

+1 on a little less than 4qts. I have ran they stock ford fluid, synchromax and mobile 1 synthetic (running it now) There are lots of threads on here which one is best, I just went with what was available from my local Advanced Auto. I don't have an opinion on which one is best because everytime I have had the tranny out, I changed more stuff than just the fluid. I will say my tranny shifts great now.
