Default Mod Motor Big Boost Procharger guys in here

Okay-what's the scoop what are you guys doing with 1 friggin belt to make over 20 psi. Now I don't have a mod motor-i have a 02 Z06-but we have similar issues-we both run 1 belt to turn all our accessories and the blower. On the dyno I was making over 20 psi-at the track i only made 12.5 psi-that's a loss of at least 10-which is like 150 horse! I'm running a 8" crank and 3.85 blower so at 7000 rpm that means the blower is still only at 72000-5.0 step up F1C. I run a 8 rib setup and a Gates Gren stripe. i've been told to stay away from the Reichard pulleys. what I'm told is not to tighten a new belt fully right away-but tighten it-run the car a bit tighten it again and do the same about 3 times until it's fully stretched. So what are you guys doing? You Mustang guys are always at the forefront of all the tech! Here is a vid from the track this weekend-not bad but I want more.

Your gonna have slip with a blower as big as the f1c but I would think it should atleast put out 20psi

My car hits an easy 20 psi on the street. The 8 rib belt wraps around 75 percent of the blower and crank pulley......

Something else may be wrong with your setup, blower intake may be restricted with the hood closed, bypass/blow off may be leaking or not working correctly or a cooler pipe leak somewhere.

I thought about leakage but wouldn't i notice that on the boost guage with a drop in vacuum? My bypass is a Procharger Race bypass-big red-i never adjsuted the top screw-it's set the way it came from the factory. Is there anygood way to test all the pipes. The way I'm assuming it's aslipping issue as by looking at the logs the boost climbs to 13lbs then drops off quickly.

I wonder why you have been told to stay away from Reichard pulleys. Are you noticing any belt dust? You probably couldn't hear the belt slip over the F1. How long did your belt make 20 psi? It sounds like you have a manual tensioner. Have you attempted to tighten it yet? All belts will stretch some. Maybe you require a slightly smaller belt with the stretch factor figured in. I am not running a procharger but am at 18+ psi on a Paxton Novi 2000 with a Reichard pulley. I also run one belt for everything. My car still made 18+ psi even though it was slipping due to some oil coming out of the crank keyway (which is now fixed). If you are not running one now you could go to a manual tensioner. You could always try a Reichard pulley. Make sure you are running an appropriately sized belt. Belt issues can be troublesome to diagnose and figure out. Good luck to ya. Quick Vette BTW.

There is light dusting on my brackets. I've been told to stay away from RR pullies from guys who run in NMRA Renegade. I'm wondering it it's due to the fact the blower is brand new-when i made 20+ psi the blower was used-so it was broken in. I had a chunk of rubber silocone go through it and it killed the impellar-sent it back to procharger and they fixed it up. Before I put any oil in it it was very tight to turn-after the first start up and full of oil it became easier but still pretty tight. I wonder if I just need to drive around for a few hours then just retighten the belt? All I did was put the car on the trailer and then just pull it off to make some 1/4 mile passes.
