Since I have closed the major VT Engines thread, I would like to have this thread be a place for VT Engines customers to discuss the situation.

This thread is only for customers whom have placed orders with VT Engines Inc. (Not VT Competition Engine Development) recently and have not received their parts.

Please keep this thread drama free and civil.

Regards,

Eric

Hey Jim, left you an e-mail on your new site but haven't heard from you.

I replied Mitch..maybe your spam filter got it? I'll send again in a PM.
Jim,

That is pretty ballsy to come to this thread that was started for members who have been ripped off by the last company you were involved with and advertise a brand new company run by 2 of the 3 individuals responsible.

You moving on is one thing but coming in here before the dust has even settled and while a lot of people you lied to are still trying to recover their money shows a lot about you.

I don't think you will have too much to worry about though when word gets around that Cushman Motorsports is being run by the guys that ripped several people off for a lot of money.

How about we stick to the topic here guys.

Jim Cushman,
Can you email me so that I can talk to you about help getting my deposit that I put down with VT Engines, Inc or at least some way to prove that the deposit was given to VT Engines, Inc. in Canada. The check was sent to 4216 Legacy Pkwy Ste B in Lansing but no one knows anything about it even though it was sent certified mail. I've been in contact with Scott Brown and the owner at VT CED to try and settle the remainder of what I should owe but they expect me to pay the full balance. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Thanks

Received my engine today !!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to the help of Scotty Brown at VT CED...

I thought it was going to be a fight to get it back after the VT Engines ordeal, but VT CED came through and took care of their customer. A++ in my book.

I Just wonder who i'd contact now if something happend to my engine..

I went through trouble with VT before they shut down. A year ago i got a VT motor that ended up seziing on me after 1k miles which i shipped back to them and it took months for it to come back to me. The motor has been fine but a few months now, but i just wonder who I'd talk to now if something happened...

I guess i'm on my own without any spec sheets / invoice from who built my motor. VT is what like 4 companies now? lol

Well after about 6 months and thanks to Scott Brown over at VTCED, my motor is back in the car and running. Showed up about 3 weeks ago and I have about 300 miles on it.

Scott really did right by me and the motor runs like a top. Just wanted to add one positive to all the negatives.

They are currently moving about 30 minutes to the east of Lansing. I heard that Paul Brown (the owner) has a factory there for another one of his businesses and they are moving the shop into some free space to save on rent. I've been trying to get a hold of them for the last few days too.

Looks like their main number has been forwarded to "We're not available" and then hangs up. Yesterday it went to voicemail.

I did get a call back from Scott Brown today and he told me to call him back, but I've got nothing but "this person's mailbox is full and you can't leave a message". So I've sent a few texts and multiple pages, but nothing back. It's been this way since last Thursday.

He did say in his voicemail to me today that he has spotty cell coverage in their new shop. I guess until they get their phone lines moved to the new shop it will be this way..

their engines ...and their service and their inabilty to admit they screwed up doin alot of both....lots of engines with too tight cylinder wall clearences...timing chain tensioner arms on the wrong side of the motors and no loctite on any of the slider bolts or cam sprocket bolts ....jim and scott dident build the motors they were clueless as far as im concerened the only thing they did well was talk.....

#92 ·
they were terrible salesman and had everyone thinking it was their company ..decieveing ....my friends shop bought 12 motors from them in a 1.5 year period.....5 of them broke in the first hr of running a few ran ok for a while and 3 had catastephic engine failure due to some of things that i outlined in my last post

I know all three of them a little. My buddy Aaron worked there for a while too... Lots of people have complaints after the fact. If someone got screwed, that sucks but I'm still buying stuff from Cushman.

I've read a hundred pages of VT threads here. I know there were bad problems. I wasn't involved and didn't get taken. I have dealt with Jim Cushman since he started his own (Cushman Motorsports) and have had nothing but good success with him. I'll continue dealing with him. Don't know what happened before but I'll judge him on my experience with him. If he was part of the problem before, it will show up again. Hasn't yet.

"if anyone" was meant as in general. I'd be pissed too if I got screwed on something as important as my cars but in talking to Cushman and in knowing my friend Aaron, any screwing was done unintentionally. I don't know anything about their engines being crap since i've never bought one or known anyone that has.

I'm not swinging on nuts much but i'm sorry their cams where/are Badass and I'm going to be happy to put them in my car.

Sorry you guys got screwed.

Is there any cam on the market that's as good as VT's stage2 Blower cams?

considering they were off the shelf crower blower cams then yes contact crower as they made all of vts cams.......i had a few sets made decent power been using alot of comp cams stuff lately and make similar power with much nicer idle and drivabilty....

I f not sure why they would say Crower on them. I have VT stage 3's and they are from Bullitt Cams. One thing I noticed is the advertised lift was a little different from what what advertised on the site as to what the cams were ground too. It was minimal, like .545 advertised and on the box .547.

Funny thing is, the cam card from Bullitt Cams is the EXACT same card (Color and font) as the card that is in Comp Cams. If anything i would say they are Comp Cams not Crower. If I remember, the address was similar as well.

Jim told me his cams CMS Stage2 blower cams are still the same profile as the VT cams from when they where still open so I just used VT cams so everyone knew what I was talking about. No worries, I'm on a dozen forums, your replies were fine. lol

Hey everyone, I just registered on here because I am a VT victim as well. I paid for pistons, a block, and head gaskets - never got the block or gaskets. Canceled that part of the order, and sent back my pistons for a full refund - never got over half my money back. Called them, the number is disconnected - no email response - can't dispute with credit card company since it happened longer than 4 months ago. Anyone have any ideas?

BTW - Hi all!
