I've never had an issue with Ford phasers. I've done many of these trucks. Aftermarket units are junk. A little wobble won't hurt. Just make sure the reluctor tabs are nice and straight. Sometimes...

I experienced this "exact" issue when I had an -8an crossover on the front of the rails. Hard start, pressure bleedoff.
Since replumbing the system to my previous version (having the fuel pass...

Holy smokes Ed, you get the award for most detailed & accurate response. As always, you are right on point. Your knowledge truly is impressive.
I do have a Fore check valve plumbed into my supply...

Interesting video. I switched back to version D but added a y after the rails. This will allow one port to be fed from the rails, eliminating any possibility of flow differences into the regulator...

Well, that's interesting Jonathan. I haven't had any vapor lock concerns while driving "yet". I do have a cowl hood so maybe that helps with the heat. I'm actually planning on adding louvers to let...

Open loop is also wot operation. I have ultimately decided that I'm chasing a ghost. I appreciate all you insight to this matter. Wot will be tuned off the leaner bank.

Let me know if you need any other specific diagrams. Good luck getting you ride back together! Glad they tracked it down.

What are your thoughts on my AFR variance being caused by cam timing?
My previous compression test yielded these results. Engine was cold, sat overnight, and blower was off. 800 miles on...

I smoked my intake and exhaust today. Didn't find any intake leaks. (Not surprised)
I found a 1.5mm portion on an o2 bung I missed with the welder. Also found a pinhole on the other...

Radium said that the pulsing valve can be plumbed into a tee between rails on the balance hose without issue. It can also be placed before the y fitting on the inlet side of the rails. Sounds like...

Check this out. Sounds like a nice product.
Wondering how it would be plumbed if using a balance hose off each...

X axis is time, correct. I have two 6an feeds coming your of my hat to a billet y-block. The y block has a 8an exit which runs to my filter and up to the engine.
I am reluctant to spend the...

What's killing me Ed is the fact that something changed a month ago, around 8-18.
Below are two afr logs.
Top log is from 8-8 and bottom log is from last night.
Orange FireWire is bank 2.

New wideband sensors netted the same results as before. Same AFR split, maybe a hair tighter. Putting my thinking cap on...

Response from NGK/NTK
Thank you for your E-mail.* I donít have a cross for the those Bosch OE numbers.* If NTK has a sensor in aftermarket that is for a Bosch wideband application,*...
I suggest looking into a book written by Sean Hyland. He goes over the many aspects of these engines.

You are correct. Closed loop I have no issues with afr drift. The issue is only present during open loop. My stft are spot on while driving around town. I seriously believe I've been chasing a...

Orange line is bank 1, green bank 2https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180916/a82cf28bdf04baefd203d99515c5f34e.jpg

Looking at the diagram for version B. If a balance hose was added to the deadhead of the rails wouldn't air get trapped between banks?
I re-plumbed my rails to version B with a crossover. Bank 2...

I don't mind the plumbing change. I really won't be that bad based on how my system is currently configured. Probably take me an hour to make the change. I already ordered the hose and fittings....

I had version D but recently revised it. It now has a y after the rails which provides equal length hoses off the rails. I re-plumbed in inlet and outlet side of the rails last week.

No dice Ed
On to the next idea, whatever it is. Running out of them.
About to tune off bank 2 for partial throttle open loop. Then tune off bank 1 at wot.

Just placed the widebands in the upstream location. Test drive showed the same AFR split. Going to look for air leaks.

I have not smoked the exhaust yet. Shortly after posting this thread I began thinking about the exhaust side of the equation. My upstream and wideband oxygen sensors are mounted very close together...

Runs great at wot. Working out all the drivability gremlins.
What about ac system pressures in cooler weather? As ambient temps drop the system pressures would drop as well. The ac compressor would start to cycle often and reduce system effectiveness.
