    Default Valet mode

I am panning on useing the valet bypass on my KB 2.6 when I autoX this year. Are there any issues with running the car to extreme in this mode?

    Cool,

This could also be used after installation when driving to get a tune correct?

No you will want to get the boost if you are tuning the car.

    Sorry, I don't think I was clear.

If I install a 2.6 kit and have to drive 2 hours to a good tuner I would be able to use valet mode so that I don't get into boost on a non-blown tune and wreck something.

Our kit will come tuned. With the 90mm and injectors the N/A tune will not work.

Sorry, once again I guess I need to give more information.. I have a 2002 GT so the 2.6 kit will be a tuner kit.. I don't have a 2006 like the OP. My fault!!

That does make a difference. Just don't get into boost. I would make sure the gas is 91 or better and fresh too!

I have a very similar question, I am in the same boat, I have to drive 2 hours to get the car to the tuner if I don't trailer it. I was going to break the new motor in using Valet mode. That way i could go up in RPMs without making boost. How long can you have the blower in valet mode?

i still made 5psi, (stock exhaust) with valet mode on up to 5500 rpm and prob like 3 -4 psi in the lower rpm, just to let u guys know. i thought it would be fun to turn on valet mode to see how the car used to accelerate stock and then turn it off and get that like new feeling again LOL...since i was still making boost the car defiantly accelerated a bit better than stock but huge difference for when i turned it off and made my full boost (10 - 13) on gauge with all stock other than intake.

I am not worried about a couple pounds, even 5 is ok, i just don't want to throttle a motor with no break in to 15 psi from the 2.6H

Yes even with the bypass opened, I strongly suggest you do not go to WOT. It will still boost! Save that for after the tuner!
