I say keep the stocker intake on there too. I thought for sure my intake was a restriction, but recently after a head change to Fox Lake Stage 2's, my peak power jumped to 640 on a similar setup to your friend's car. (albeit with E85 and high compression).

The stock intake made plenty of horses up top at 6800 and didn't lose my low end torque in the process. If it's a street car, the stock piece should be sufficient.

What heads did you have before? This car pulls to 7k but it does start to flatten out a bit. This motor is probably 9:1 or less, pistons are notched. How much boost are you seeing and with what pulley? Dynojet SAE?

How much timing in your setup?

Here's the before and after dyno graph. Had stock heads and stock valvetrain, then switched to Fox Lake stage 2's. Boost went from 14 psi max to 16 psi max, but only because we were able to spin it harder up to 6800. I dropped to a 3.12 pulley to keep the boost from dropping due to the extra air flow thru the heads. The E85 allows me to use higher comp and higher timing.

    stylin,

You could use a intake where your at now. At the point your at I picked up close to 40 with the P-51 and 55 or so with the logan over what I made with the stock.

Yep, I don't doubt it wouldn't pickup some good hp on the top end. I thought about the P51 but with the power I have now from the stocker, I'm good. It's already making more power than I intended, so I'm definitely content on where it's at now. :D

When you do swap. Because you will. You'll make more power before peak. My car makes a lot more average power with a Aftermarket intake on the car.
