I want to install my Maximum Motorsports 4-Bolt Caster Camber Plates beacuse the shops around here want to much to do it..Does anyone know how to install this kit?Or are there any "How to do thread" are here..lol?Or should i just leave it to the professionals..lol I would really like to install it myself and then just pay to get a alignment..What do u guys think? Thanks for the help!
If you no longer have the instructions for the plates just go to MM's site and print them off. I just did the install and its really easy just make sure you have some quality drill bits and take your time. Make sure you check to see if your hood is contacting the struts before you slam it shut. Mine barely touched on the passenger side so I just swapped the bushings around like the instructions said to do.
Also make sure you have a good drill because the strut tower is very thick and make sure you step drill all the way from 1/8in up to whatever the max is (13/32 or something like that).
I have the upr CC plates and the upper large shock nut has no preload like the factory setup due to the solid bearing/bushings. Over a short period of time the large nut would vibrate and back off a tad giving the front end a horrible BANG over any bump.
This last time I applied a little blue locktite to the bottom threads of those large nuts.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
