Just posting this, I've never done it and I've been sure for the longest time that I was correct. The Aluminator 8:5:1 motor with the Cobra Timing cover, essentially made for the Cobra, but with swapping the timing covers it can be used for the Mach 1. I'm I correct in this statement or have I looked up, and also been fed a very large amount of BS. LOL
Would it matter? The engines themselves, as far as blocks, heads, bolt patterns, and everything that matters for installation are identical. I would assume the Aluminator 8.5 is designed to be a replacement for the Terminators while the Aluminator 10.X is designed to be a replacement for the Mach 1's and other Cobras. I'm sure the engines themselves, as far as installation is concerned, are interchangeable with a timing cover swap.
i agree, was just a bit of an....well yeah, an argument, and posting this and getting others opinions/statements of fact were just reinforcement
