Sounds good. It will be a little ways down the road as I still have some other parts to buy but I will certainly be in touch with you when the time comes. What would be the best way to contact you? PM?

    na svt,

On the ported stock runner manifold will I need to enlarge the runners? And if so how much? Oh and one other question in regards to the comp 106100's (if I go that route)...I really want to have a nasty idle and I was wondering if the specs you mentioned earlier (106/116) would give me a rough idle like I want? I've saw on another forum that has an almost identical set-up to what I am wanting and he had the cams degreed with the following specs...106 on the intake and 110 on the exhaust. His idle sounded really mean and he put down good power (368 rwhp and 341 wtq) and I was wondering if those specs would be better for my set-up or would I lose power degreeing them with those specs? Thanks in advance.

I definitely won't have it all done by then! I'm an engineer out in the oilfield so I'm out on location a lot, which that takes up a good portion of my time! I would say you could swing by and check out the car and all the stuff I have done on it now but I actually won't be in town then.

The entire runner needs to be enlarged.

Is there a numerical value as to how much needs to be shaved off to enlarge? Also I edited the last post and added a question about the cams? What are your thoughts on the cam specs I mentioned on it?

buy a set of 96-98 cobra intake cams and degree them to 110 and put the exhaust at 118............for $200...if your mind is set...

    better yet

leave it alone and sell your mach 1 intake manifold for $500. then do a stock eaton swap off an 03 04 cobra for the same price as those custom cams........and you will be anywhere from 400-450whp.

why go to all that work and money for 30-50hp....when you can get 100-150whp more from an eaton swap for the same price...

106/110 will idle more rough than 106/112-118. However, there isn't any more power to be had in setting the LSA that tight. The upper rpm power will be extended by opening the exhaust cam earlier but the idle will be less rough.

messing with cams are way over most guys skill level. in reality this guy should bolt on a stock eaton(maybe even undrive it a little) and enjoy the power it gives throughout the ENTIRE rpm range.

    na svt,

I had a couple of questions about the 99/01 Cobra lower manifold vs. 03 Mach 1 lower manifold. I know that they both have long runner designs but performance which one is better or do they perform about the same? Also is the 99/01 cobra lower manifold compatible with the mach 1 upper plenum?

The Mach lower is a little better and uppers and lowers are interchangeable

Not yet. I just got the Kooks LT's and Catted X-pipe installed last week and I'm currently finishing up my rearend/chassis/suspension upgrades before I put the cams/ported intake combo on.
