Now you need to put the 2.4 in a 2V kit!!! That would be just sbout right for a street car........

Considering the KB' 2V made more with the 2.2 than their 4V.

I wanted to bump this thread because, well, I'm proud of it, and Earl, and our kit, so there!

And because some of you may have missed it. I think it's a pretty nice milestone.

    Congratulations again, Earl!

    Regards,

    Ken

Right now, it's only on VHS. I may be able to get it converted, it would be worth it!

Damm that is SWEET!!!!! I am ready to buy a KB for my 03 Sonic blue cobra next week. I was wondering if I was better with the 2.2 or the 2.4?? It is a street car more than track but damm that 2.4 makes POWER!!!!!!

That's right, folks, the stock fuel pumps and the BAP supplied enough fuel for 708 SAE rwhp. The only thing Earl changed on the fuel system was to remove the "Y" in the tank, and run two lines out to a larger fuel filter. Then, he ran a 1/2" (I believe, may have to verify this with Earl) to the front up to the rails (which were stock). Remember, we tested the drop through all the stock system on this car before ANY changes right at the rail at 650 rwhp, and there was only a 7 psi drop, so are all the changes he made to the fuel system necessary? We don't think so, not for 7 psi. But, hey, if spending all the time and effort makes you happy, why not?

As far as all the other mods, you may have to contact him for all the specifics. His number is (818) 838-7154.

    Way to go Earl!!!

    regards,

    Ken

did he have the stock 03 cobra pumps or dual focus pumps? im guessing the stock ones but the last line in the first paragraph you said stock focus pumps?

He had the Focus pumps. These are scary because if you drive the pump pressure above 80-85, they will pop-off. This is why I do not recommend using them. Stick with the stock Cobra pumps.
