I realize that the 04 has a 2 valve sohc while my 07 (S197) has a 3v sohc, but my buddy gave me a set of "Blaster Coil-on-Plug for Ford Modular SOHC, '99-'04 , 16 Valve , PN 82428." He said they would work fine in my 07 because the engine is essentially the same, I installed them and they do work fine, but I'm wondering can I cause any damage or is it bad to use these in an S197 mustang? They seem to work fine, just want some input on that, and moreover how similar the engines really are. Thanks!

AFAIK, as long as they are the same polarity you should be OK.
