    Default Engine Oil

I was wondering what engine oil and weight to run in my Mach? I am currently running Royal Purple 5W-20 but I've heard a lot of complaints with Royal Purple. I've also read on a few forums that running a higher weight, like 5W-30, is also better. I haven't had any issues with my car and I change the oil every 3k (currently 26,500 miles on the car) but I am open for suggestions on what other guys are running or reccommend.

Run what the oil cap or ownders manual says. Should be 5w-20. I run motorcraft in all my engines. Never a problem thus far.

Unless your engine clearances changed, you don't need to run a higher viscosity oil. it could be robbing power from you...stick with what Ford recommends. 5w-20.

I've tried a few different oils and weights. I prefer 5w30 Mobil 1 and a motorcraft oil filter
