RLongo Build Thread - 97 Cobra 83mm Bullseye
Well I've made enough progress on the car that I can start a build thread. It’s a 97 Cobra that will be street/strip car, not a dedicated race car. I will still maintain A/C, Heat, Radio, P/S and disc brakes.
It will have a 4.6 4V DOHC with full race “C” Heads. Engine is being built and assembled by Tim Eichhorn of MPR Racing in Boynton Beach FL (Mustang Performance Racing), with head work by Kris Starnes. The power adder of choice will be a Bullseye T4 83mm with a 87 mm TW and race cover. Trans will be a built 4R70W, with FB Transmissions MVB, L/U and O/D. Converter will be a UCC unit. Fuel needs will handled by a Lethal Performance/Division X 1400hp return system and a 03 Cobra tank, with ID1000 injectors via Sullivan fuel rails.
Rear end is Ford 9” with 35 Spline Moser axles, locker differential, UPR Coilovers w/ Strange Adj shocks and GT brakes (to clear 15 x 10 drag wheels). The Front suspension will be all UPR including their coilovers and Strange adj struts. The car will also have Wolfe Racecraft thru-floor subframe connectors and 8.50 certified chromoly cage and parachute, custom built by David Dodge at TigVision Welding (West Palm Beach FL).
I will update as progress continues.
Here is how it started a year ago when I picked it up. 130k miles, no mods ever done to it.

Thanks man. Saw your "Todo" list for yours on FB!! Looking forward to seeing the updates.
Thanks!! Looking forward to just driving it again....and then some track run!
The engine hoist is the best part of the build. I work on some better pictures. hahaha. It should be able to give a TT 03 a run for it's money
The hotside is from Revolution performance out of S. Florida. -

With a lockup converter it shouldn't be too bad. Obviously mileage will suffer some but the car will feel like a rocket. I'm sure with the 57s it is probably quite responsive though?
