Default Keeping the factory amp with aftermarket radio

I have a 2000 Lincoln LS and I'm wondering how to keep the factory amp on the rear deck subs with an aftermarket radio. I had an aftermarket radio in the car years ago with the basic harness and it took the rear deck speakers out of the picture. I had subs at the time so it wasn't an issue then.

Crutchfield and a bunch of others have plug-n-play adapters for the wiring harness which do this for you.
