I have a 99 cobra, blown up. the crank cant be saved, neither can 2 rods, or 2 pistons.

My question is should i use a 96 mark viii short block I allready have thats complete, or just get a rotating assembly for the 99 cobra block.

Whats the pros and cons of this? How much will have to be changed for the mk8 short block to be used. different flywheel? what about balancer? any help would be great

Didn't the 96-98's use IMRC strategy in the heads? This may not be a problem IF the heads are interchangeable back to the 96 block. Are the accessory positions the same?

You'll need a new flywheel due the the 6 bolt cast crank of the lincoln engine. The balancer and all the accessories will work (front covers should be the same.
