Default Coyote crate engine best place to locate H2O sensor for dash gage

Where is the best place to locate a H2O water temp sensor. I am aware of the computer's inferred water temp but utilizing Autometer gage in may 63 Ford falcon's dash.

    Thanks

Thanks, I thought about that. Since I have recently retired I no long have access to a TIG machine - TIG welded for over 40 years- can't get one of those home in a lunch pail or brief case . It will kill me to pay to have that done. I do have a MIG with AL capabilities but the thin hose outlet casting is really a TIG job. I'll going to look more closely to the head casting and see if there's not a a cross drilling plug or similar to repurpose/retap.

Thanks. I have plumbed a heater (running a Vintage Air A/C and heater set-up) utilizing the passenger side hot water out of the engine to the heater. I also incorporated a 5/16" hose bypass ahead of the heater valve to allow the engine to vent when the heater valve is closed. With one bolt and a CTB, I'll have that puppy out tomorrow morning. I suppose I'll fab a bung with 1/4"NPT and a curved landing to expose as much sender as possible without impacting the flow.
