doing more engine bay work. I decided to skip the scott rod aluminum panels and just go all out and refinish the engine bay. I have seen a few others with it done and really like the look and with everything out of the vehicle. i might as well take advantage.
So took out aprons with trusting air saw...then started the fitting process. Ok...ONE thing...the scott rod panels are nice and for the price a great deal. BUT i had to fit a lot and i think i have three hours into each side with fitting so they will sit flush and look right.

Man those fender panels really make a difference. Might have to look into that when the motor comes out again.

I agree with Jim, Dom. Those panels really do clean up the engine compartment and give it a very nice finished appearance.

well...not posted in a while but after my last cage mess I decided just to do it myself. so did thru the floor frame tie connectors, mini tubbed, new rear end, etc, decided to do upper and lower Marty Merillat's. His stuff FIT perfect and was easy getting in. THE stock stuff SUCKKKKKEDDDDD getting out though. ADVICE to anyone who wants to do it..it is MESSY and time consuming.. couple of pics from the last few months. I usually only get to work on the car 4-5hrs a week so things are slow but I enjoy the process so this is enjoyable to me.
