03 aluminum WAP block, does anybody have Clevite part number for the main bearings? Summit shipped me the 2202P set and the thrust bearing does not match the takeouts. clevite 2007H looks like the direct replacement. Ford says obsolete?

You would be better off using King Bearings. You want a main set that is p/n 5281SI and a second main set that is p/n 5219SI.

The 5281 set will provide all the bearings however you want to replace the #5 upper bearing which is a multi piece bearing with the fully flanged #5 single piece upper from the 5219SI bearing set. The rest of the 5219 bearings are a throw away. Both bearing sets from Summit will cost you about $100 in total.

You will hear many people tell you you want to run the HP or XP race bearings. That is true if the car is a High Banked Oval type race car. For the rest of us mere mortals the SI bearing gives better service and life. King's in-house bearing PhD has a number of papers published and available as downloads if you are so inclined to read them. If you just want the best bearings use a 5281SI and 5219SI main set, take the #5 upper out of the 5219 set and use it in the 5281 set.

Joe Goffin does a chapter and verse installation story for these bearings over in his thread, Aluminator Gibtec Build over in the 03/04 Cobra Forum.
