Probably a dumb question but are the Stage 8 locking header bolts still the best fastener available? Just wanted to check with you guys, never know when something better is gonna comes out.
Stock studs and nuts. Stage 8 or any other bolt will be a compromise when trying to tighten the bolt with larger headers. Plus the ability to install the extra hardware to keep the bolts from backing out is very tedious and impossible and certain bolts. Then the tedium to try to remove the hardware if you have a problem.
1-7/8 long tube kooks with stud and nut. Kooks gasket.
I agree with the 1st part. I installed Stage 8 locking fasteners and boy was it a pain getting the locking tab on some of the fasteners. Especially if you want the tab locked on and not loose/rattling.
