Mach 1 head cooling upgrade
Hello guys,
Has any of you done the cooling upgrade for your mach 1? Seems from what I've seen that there's a problem with heat in the rear of the heads that causes a tick. I was wondering if the engine or the transmission have to come out? I see MMR has the upgrade package for sale.

there are 2 different styles out there - one goes into the rear of the head which would require dropping the trans (doesnt cobra engineering make one now? Id choose them over MMR). Theres another style that you might have to pull the intake and can be done from the top of the motor through a smaller freeze plug port. I cant recall off hand where you run that bypass line in a stock cooling setup though. The back of the head version it ties into the passenger side outlet

What Jerry (dsg2003mach1) said K1BOONE. The Cobra Engineering piece is a very nicely finished billet kit, click here => Head Cooling Mod.

Can't go wrong with Cobra Engineering. Actually, that's my next upgrade.
