Uhhhhhhhh

OK, I don't get it. I understand that a forged bottom end can take more abuse, rpm, etc, but unless he went to higher compression pistons, or raised his rpm limit, why would that change anything in terms of the power output? Still seems pretty good to me (?)

I did ask him on SVTP what his compression ratio was and he didn't know. He did say it was raised a point or two. So basic rule of thumb is 1 point = ~10hp. -Mark
Not that high, he said "I think the compression is one or two tenths higher than stock".
Better ring sealing and the valve job probably give him more hp than the compression boost.

I was happier with the boost in torque than the hp.

Those were the numbers I was hoping to make when I pulled the blower off but she only made 280. I probably could have picked up a lot if I would have degreed the cams instead of straight up, damn regrinds.
