2 car lengths @ 100-106 mph is NOT .5 second. I was not disputing the fact that a MACH SHOULD win a drag race, stock for stock, equal drivers, but there is no such thing. I am not disputing the abilities of a MACH, just your sense of time...
    Physics don't lie

BTW, where are those hundreds of time slips?

...AND CUT!!! Your BOTH Mustang owners, just agree to disagree. Mach 1's are faster stock for stock, that point is made. The Math proves 1sec is about 10 car lengths, that point has been made. You two are starting to sound like a Mustang owner vs. A Camaro owner.

Now quit all the and chill...

I saw several Mach 1's and 05 GTs at Dragway42 last year. Both seemed to turn consistantly around 13.3ish.

My bone stock 04 Mach1 ran a [email protected] 60 ft 2.2.Evan Smith of MMFF ran a 03 Mach to a [email protected] a bone stock 05 Gt will not run these times. 2-3 tenths slower than the Mach.

A bone stock '05 GT can run 13.4s stock but it won't trap 104 stock. 13.10s are out of the stock 05s league.

My buddies trapped 103 stock with a 2.0 60 foot. Couldn't hook up but the trap speed was there.

Well now I can honestly say I have owned all types of Mustangs now and I can say the interior is better and the ride is better in the new GT than the Mach 1's. The manual trans is better in the Mach 1..but the 5 speed automatic is light years ahead of the 4 speed auto it replaced. Performance wise...automatic vs. automatic...I bet the new GT is faster....but driving in my dad's 06 Roush 5 speed compared to the Mach 1's we have had , I still give the straight line performance to the Mach 1's....especially the top end pull.

It will be interesting when Ford comes out with the new Mach 1 and do a comparison performance wise with the two.

But this new stang will never be what our Mach 1's were...a very tight small package that felt like part of you...your sense of knowing what the car will do and where all corners are was just incredible in the Mach 1's and the Cobra's.

Whatever, let me geuss you own an 05 gt and dont like it because the older mach has and advantage.

There have been many of these threads on other forums...and this is the first time I have seen it come down to the mach being faster. Most just pass it off as a drivers race. But personally from driving both, ill say the Mach is faster. But down here neither run the times listed. The machs go mid 13s @ 102-103. the 05s go high 13s @ 101-102. I have never lost to either, even when bolton at the track.
