I recently replaced the timing chains, sprockets, chain tensioners and crank trigger wheel on my 1999 4.6L DOHC the crank trigger wheel and crank gear that came with the Ford Racing Timing chain kit are different than what they replace. The crank sprocket is a one piece vs. originally it had 2 seperate sprockets and the crnk trigger wheel is a stamped steel vs. the powdered metal trigger wheel it replaced. My question is has anyone done this chain replacement and had any concerns with the engine lacking power after the change. I have heard the crank trigger wheel change could be causing issues with the stock crank position sensor location in the original front cover. I did not replace the original front cover. Timing on the cams and crank were verified to be correct before I buttoned up the engine.
