Well I started to install my cmm caster camber plates. I messed up on drilling the passenger side. I honestly have no idea why. Maybe my 2 yr old daughter screaming and getting in to stuff?
Anyhow, You are supposed to scribe to spots around the old bracket on the strut tower. Well I scribed one and drilled. Obviously I need to do both and drill where they meet. My question is can I just oval out the whole to make it go where it is supposed to? Or is that bolt that keeps everything where it is supposed to be? I left my camera at work. I really need to take my laptop to the garage to view the PDF files. The dam photo copies suck for detail.
You should be able to make it work. The other 3 holes will locate it so it won't move around too much, even thought the 4th hole is off. You might want to use a dremel with a thin cylindrical carbide cutting bit and "carve" out the oval instead of using larger drill bit or trying to get the oval with the drill.... you will just make a bigger mess that way.
Before I go nuts I will Call MM tommorrow. YOu know why did they not include a template. Such a simple thing. Don't get me wrong I am not blaming them. Just saying it would be cake that way.
you are supposed to use the factory plate as the template, that why they did not give you one. You should be able to just elongate the hole a little, should not hurt anything, besides, it's too late now.
I could weld it shut. I just don't want to if I don't have to.
My point is a template would lay down boom driil. Not use that thing scribe move it here scribe punch between them drill. I get paid to simplify things
