That's pretty normal for a dyno chart when graph "smoothing" is not turned on.

PS: It's "Axle", not "Axel" =o)

You guys are makin some power..
    Question?
The GT500 comes with 50-52lb injectors from factory (They are 50lb, but ford racing says 52lbs.. whatever) The photo of the orange car has factory injectors. How are you making 800whp with 50lb injectors? By My calculations you would need 80+PSI of pressure with 19psi of boost and 800whp (at 100% dutycycle), personally I dont see that working very well. The injectors are fine with that (The pressure, not the 100% duty cycle), but its the fuel pump, at 80-90psi it cant be happy with 800HP, im sure you guys have a boost-a-pump on it but still, problem is the pressure.

You can go to a 60lb, but then the problem is idle with the 48mm Stage 2 SRT Injector, the spray pattern sucks for 4v per cyclender. Also I dont think the car has room for a standard tall injector because of blower inlet clearance, but I have not tried.

    Hey BigBill.

    Thanks for your comments.

At Kenne Bell, we always test the limits of each component in the system; injector(s), fuel pump(s), inlet system(s), intercooler(s) etc.. We run literally hundreds of tests, very meticulously, only changing parts as we need them, recording all the necessary data to back up the results. When we change anything, we change only one thing at a time, then run more tests to check those limits. We never said running 800 rwhp was OK to do everyday with this set-up. Yes, the pressure was high, and yes the injectors were maxed out, but we did make it - 810 rwhp.

Our recommendations will all come out in our Tech Tips on the Shelby GT on our website. Everyone will be able to see where the limits are then.

    Regards,

    Ken

Jim - Sounds like you guys might have what I've been looking for in the way of data...the flow rates vs pressure ratio or pressure drop across these factory intercoolers. In particular, I'm looking for data for the '03 Cobra, but would also be interested in the results for the GT500 and Ford GT. Thanks in advance.

Saw the car at LACR on a Slip and Slide Night / Friday.

Not sure why, but why is Earl dumping the clutch on Drag Radials? Anyways the best it ran was 11.55 @ 125mph...not bad for having driveability issues with some sort of fuse blowing.

Maybe Earl and Gene can take it out a little more often to get some respectable ET's.

well, the 125 trap should put her deep into the 10's. No traction?? probably blew the fuel pump fuse...

    Ken/James (and Dustin),

You can see by my number of posts that I am not a major contributor to these boards. It's not because of my lack of passion, rather I do not possess the technical/engineering expertise the rest of you have. But I had to take the time to commend you on the thoughtfulness of your posts and the fact that competitors engage in a healthy exchange to better the products for your consumers.

The intellectual capital shared here is exactly why I come to ModularFords.com versus the other forums.

It's this type of exchange that creates goodwill with consumers, and this is exactly why I will be a Kenne Bell customer for life.

With a 5.87 psi drop through the intercooler do you have plans for an upgrade from the stocker?
The restriction probably has a big effect on cooling the charge also?

I thought 600whp was the limit for the rods?

I have heard 650 as the limit on stock internals but I would like to know some hard facts on this as well. Thus far all I have read seems to be more hear say. Anyone have more info on this?

So can any of the experts tell me what a 100% safe power level is for a stock motor? 4.6 and 5.4

I'm planning on putting together a 06-07 Stang with a intercooled SC(most likely a KB). I just am unsure how I want to tackle the mision. I would like a 450-500rwhp daily driver on 92-93 pump.

    My 2 options are:
    1. get something like a Roush SC and just upgrade everything to attain desired results.

    2. get a GT 4.6 and build it up from scratch.
