Is anybody here working through Bank of America on this? That is who my CC is through and I am not having much luck.

Was hoping to get a POC that will actually do something.

I am with USAA and am having the same issues. I keep getting told it is the Xmas season and credit card disputes are all backed up. What a bad situation all the way around.

Depends on which VT you are talking about. "VT Engines" or VT Competition Engine Development. The VT Engines site has shut down and their forum has been closed. The actual company whose engines they were selling (VT CED)is still in business and has their own website. http://www.vtcompetitionengines.com/

Obviously, there has been a fair amount of confusion due to the similarity of the names and the fact that VTCED was a supplier for VTE. If you want the long version, there is a 90+ page post in the Mach One Forum that has been locked.

Ok guys, I finally got my money back from my credit card company. They told me not to spend the money for 45 days though while they do their investigation.

Has anyone been past the 45 day window yet? Has VTE disputed anything so far?

I sent VT Engines a check for the deposit for the amount of $2,000. Scott (VT Engines) talked to me about the situation before he left the company and told me who to contact about getting my engine back. I talked to Scott Brown (VT Competition Engine Development) about my engine. He is ready to ship it, but now I have to fight with VT Engines to get my deposit money back in order to have the full amount that I am going to owe VT CED.

Well, last night I got a letter from my credit card company, Citi Diamond Preffered. It basically said the temporary credit to my account was now permanent. Now I filed the dispute near the end of October, so maybe closer to 60 days is what it takes to resolve these disputes. Good luck to everyone else involved.
