Howdy. It's a bit of a long story why but I'm swapping my built 98 4v teksid into an 03 cobra. The 03 has all the wiring, fuel system ecu etc.. but the motor is bare (parts burned in garage fire while motor was in the machine shop). I'm wondering what I need to change to get the 98 to work in the 03 body. I know a few things I have to do but I'm a fox guy and the motor used to have a v1 on it. I need someone with the knowledge to steer me in the right direction (fuel system changes, alternator location, oil filter relocation etc.) I'm going turbo if that helps at all. Thanks

Put the engine in and use an aftermarket EFI. I highly recommend MS3Pro PnP. It will drive the entire OEM instrument cluster and provides hard copy documentation for programmable ECU control of all the engine variables, supercharged or n/a, and traction control, and launch control, and engine protection and, and, and. And it is under $ 1,500 and the YouTube how-to videos are nothing short of excellent. Here is a clickable link to the ECU on the DIYAutoTune website => MS3Pro PnP 03/04 Cobra

Check out the 7 minute how to install video link, 03/04 Cobra Install <= clickable

I agree with Ed. The MSPro would be a great way to get it purring with minimal hassles.

Excellent summary DC Guy. However, if I read the OP's post correctly, he has an already built Teksid that he wants to put into an 03/04 Cobra chassis. He is not looking for the kind of engine building insights you have offered. He is at the next stage and is looking for guidance in installing and managing the engine.

When you post up a how-to summary, as you did, please do not post up links to websites of for-profit businesses that are not paid advertisers on this site. It is not fair to those who choose to advertise and pay for access to the website membership.

I have removed the link to the other business's website. If you would like to repost the information without linking to the site please do so

Thank you, for your cooperation.
