I recently purchased a teksid block from what i believe to be out of a 99 cobra because of the side bolt difference on the main caps. From what i understand the 99 teksid's mains were a tight fit against the side of the block while the 98 and down blocks had allen head pieces that the jackscrews went through to put preload on the main caps. Everything else looks to be the same as a 98 and down blocks besides the size of the knock sensor threads. My question is are the 99 teksid blocks as good as the 98 and down blocks or should i just buy a 98 and down block?

if it has different side bolts its not a teksid more than likely just an aluminum block ford made to replace the costly teksid. im sure it is similar in strength but i think the teksids are easier to come by bc of being in the mark viii so i would go that route.
