are you talking about the moroso accumulator? It just might save your engine from damage. Plumbed into the pressurized size of your oiling system, the accumulator uses compressed air to force its oil reserve into your engine when the oil pressure drops below normal (like when you let of f thethrottle after a pass at the track). You can also use the accumulator as a manually operated prelubing device during startup.
The prelubing stuff is what I'm looking at. The ability to run oil through the motor before its started is great for reducing wear. I remeber reading somewhere that cold startups are responsible for 80 to 90% of engine wear. Even if you cut that percentage in half, you would be able to get more miles out of the motor before rebuilding.
