B-heads and B-Intake Twin Turbo

I made a couple pulls on the GT last night, and thought I would share. I'm running a Teksid block, B-heads and stock long runner B-Intake. I Made 916RWHP and 902 RWTQ, with a very conservative tune. It's been 5 years of hard work lying on my back in the garage, but its all finaly worth it. Building an entire car from the ground up on a budget takes lots of time and frusturation and so many of us do it. Just thought I would share. The car runs great and pulls like an animal, with no hiccups. The setup still has more in it, but I wanna get some track time and driving in before I realy lean on it. Gotta love the Mod Motors!!!!!!!!!

Big Thank You's to the people whom have helped me along the way:

Jim Napier- TurboHorsepower ALWAYS kind and helped me with anything I needed. ALWAYS answered my calls, texts and Emails
no matter the time of day. Modified and adjusted the kit to my likings for free. Hell of a guy!

Mark Kroffe- AKA "The Assasin" Machined and Assembled my engine. Helped with assembly throughout build. The most
knowledgable engine builder i've ever known. His motors are always overachievers and bulletproof.

Ed Clark- Tuning the setup and modifying the tune throughout the process. Email tunes, text tuning and
Phone tuning. LOL Ed is the Man and I thank him for his advice and input.

Steve Ashworth Performance- Big thanks for letting me use the shop DynoJet and for putting up with my shit. Excellant Machine
work and engine work. Steve specializes in building Race engines and all the machine work involved.

And a BIG Thanks to everyone who said I couldnt make big power with this combo and setup. You were truly my biggest inspiration.

So I hear. My T56 is brand new. Dont realy want to blow it up. LOL

Thanks for the compliments.
hot damn man! thats a haulen car, twin 61s?
Bad ass!
So is your intake or heads ported?

How much boost?
Fox Lake Ported Heads
Port Matched stock intake

29-30 PSI

We made 34 PSI on one pull, but the A/F ratio was in the 8's and it didnt pull through it cleanly. We made some fueling adjustments and set the Overboost Protection at 30 and let it rip. Keep in mind I've only got 12.5 degrees of timing and a 10.4 a/f Ratio. It pulls pretty clean there and the plugs look awesome. She loves the C16.
Yes, Twin 61's. 8.3:1 Compression engine.
Nice car man, nice to see a homemade budget build turn out... Congrats....
Nice man! What cams are you running? Congrats on getting it done.
very nice numbers!! good job!! I love the b-heads they make good power!! I had A twin turbo 97 cobra ported b-heads and short runner stock intake, and It made 747rwhp at 4700 rpm it was set for 18lbs, these heads work very good with boost!! Do you have any pics love to see It!
they do react well to boost, it wakes them up because of their huge ass ports... sadly, a C head will make more power then a bheaded car beneath 7k:( but there is a reason that john mihovetz uses Bheads on his car:D
Actually the huge intake port volume hurts low/midrange power n/a or boosted. It makes no difference. The Bs can definitely hold their own though. Mihovetz used them and he revs his engine to 8500+ RPMs. He has since switched to the FordGT heads.

Again, nice power! There's more in it with those size turbos too.
thats what i was meaning? the increase volume is what helps it be more affective on a race care, but a street car something 7500 and under, Cheads will always make more power lb for lb and NA for NA

yeah hes making some juice! you both are hahaha. its neat to see some Bheaded cars still kicking some ass. it doesnt happen often enough:(
my 97 cobra made all its power under 6000 rpm do to A small fuel pump, I had an auto 3speed, and At the track It went 9.60's shifting each 3 gears at 6000rpm and leting out half track. So If Its build right they can make good bottom end power also!!

There's only so much you can do in order to improve power with low velocity heads. The auto goes A LONG way towards overcoming that.
