I'm brand new here. In from that other forum that seemed to be so popular. Well THAT place has become lame with censorship and the like, so I'm on the move to new and interesting forums. Thought I'd say hello.

I second that.
Where is Tifton, GA? I'm going to be moving to Atlanta in 10 months (actually 9 months 30 days now). I'm looking forward to it. Judging from all the different forums, there's no shortage of mustang enthusiasts or speedshops in Atlanta.

welcome aboard!

Atlanta has several reputable shops. Down in south GA though, we have zero to none :(

yeah,

I'm all for regulating the threads and keeping the trash out. There's no need for name calling and mindless arguing that goes on in some threads. But lately, SN seems to lock threads that really weren't out of hand. The administrators in 4.6 talk have gotten to where they lock anything that they feel is controversial (regardless of whether the people are having a civil, intelligent discussion about things).

I've never been involved in a name calling contest or dragged into some of the rediculous junior high threads that go on. I don't know why they (modulardepot) got so fired up when I said I wasn't interested in posting there. If they're gonna lock the thread just for saying that I disapprove of another site, then to me that's blatant censorship. I could see if I was calling individuals names or being stupid, but simply stating my opinion about one site vs. another shouldn't warrant getting locked or kicked off.

I think most people enjoy a forum where they can have both a tech spot to learn and share wisdom and also a talk forum where they can have fun and debate current issues with others. Lately on SN they're locking threads all the time that are completely civil (threads that talk about street racing, any negative comments about the French, etc.) And obviously I don't see a need to post porn on these sites (that's your business, not mine).

Just my opinions, I used to post in SN tech all the time, but lately it's all the same threads and I grow weary of explaining the same stuff over and over. So I sit and wait for an interesting tech thread and in the mean time I spend my time in talk, having fun or debating.
