well i took the car to the track to run it with the 4r70 installed. I know it is a new learning curve but i am dumbfounded by what happened tonight. Here is the short version

msd 2 step setting 60' time trap speed et
==========================================

2000 1.67 115 11.697
3000 1.71 116 11.798
3500 1.80 114 11.956


stall is 3200. as i turned up the msd the slower my 60 foot got but the end game was about the same. I have no idea what this means. the last time at the track before the tranny swap i had put down 3 1.58 range 60 ' times trapping 11.6s. I would think the higher the setting the better the 60' time. The car was sticking well.

what do you all interpret these time to mean?????????????

Are you leaving on a trans brake or foot brake? Was the trans temp the same on all three passes? Where these hot lap passes? Looks like the time lost was pretty much in the 60'.

Looks like you were hot lapping or sitting on the tbrake too long. How much power are you making? 500ish?

450 HP AT WHEELs. as for holding to long i did it this way. i would stage. light two lights up and i hit the transbrake but not rev up. sit at idle until first yellow light lights up the rev up to msd 2 step set point. ten let go on green. was not trying to cut good lights last night....so my reaction times were over a sec.

Yeah you weren't sitting on it too long. I would say you just need more power if you want to go faster.

I dunno, his 60 foot times aren't very impressive for that much power w/ a transbrake. Are you spinning a lot or dead hooking off the line? Too me it looks like you need more power and/or suspension. Your trap speeds say so... I'm guess when you are set to 3500 with the 2 step you do nothing but spin the first 60' right?

+1 I would guess your problem has to be traction. I will watch the video when I get home.

4.10s in the back and it has a new 3200 stall TCS converter

Any idea what the converter flashes too? If your two step was set on 3500 it flashes higher than 3200

here was my last run....NO COMMENT ON THE MUSIC!!

Well I couln't really tell anything. It was hard to hear what was going on with the car. Next time you make a pass try to get someone to take a video from the outside of the car. From the back would be best.
