While in the process of removing the center stock TB divider from the lid of a 99 Cobra, I began to wonder about something. The only way to run an Accufab TB (I am) with a 99 Cobra intake is to mount the TB upside down and re route the throttle cable to work the linkage in its new location. The reason being there's something (I think it's the EGR) that mounts to the lid in the same place that the TB linkage would fit in the stock location. However, since I'm not going to use an EGR, air tube, or any other emissions equipment on my new motor, what if I simply had a machine shop remove the EGR mounting "extension," had a block off plate welded on, and mounted the Accufab in the stock location?

Would it work? I noticed that on the EGR mounting extension there's a fitting for a vacuum line, is that a vital connection or could it be removed as well?

Thanks
