My buddy has a 2000 F150 w/5.4 2v 2wheel drive truck. How much will the bottom end handle before it BLOWS up? It right now has a Vortec S-trim making 7-8lbs with stock everything, rumor has it the bottom ends aren't really up to the task of high horsepower applications.Looking to get 425 to the ground is this attainable or not?He knows he's got to change the injectors and get a tune and what not but is it worth the risk seeing it's a daily driver?

Thanx Jay

well knowing that fords engines are modular... and knowing that the 4.6 can handle about 450rwhp... I'd say 450 would be the limit.

Too bad its not 4 wheel drive. Could you imagine the launch on that? 450HP just gripping the road. Yeah I know, it spilts the power between front and rear, blah blah blah. Just being facecious (spelled right?). Although a 4wd would have a nasty launch :D
