I was putting the Hydroboost stuff into my 88 over the weekend, and it seems that the rod out of the hydroboost will not fit without the switch (the one that mounts on the pedal and where the rod brake rod mounts) hitting the steering colum mount. Has anyone had this issue? What did you do to fix it? Is that switch for the brake lights or for the cruse control?

There is a flat surface on the rear of the stock fox rod that aligns the switch on the rod. You can use a bench grinder to change the angle of the flat surface if it is present on the one you are installing. I imagine the switch needs to rotate upward to clear the colum mount if it is similar to what I have seen.

Thanks for the quick reply Doctors!

I was hoping that wasn't going to be the answer... that thing is a PITA to get in and out!

Looks like I'll have to fire up the bench grinder again!
