What would i need to do? Anyway I can keep it an overdrive so it can still be streetable? I was thinking of sticking a TKO in place of the t56 (tougher input shafts, so i can launch at higher rpm, no?) but the thought of an auto for consistency, as well as just handling the power of these things, has jumped to mind. So, please, wise ones, enlighten me! Thanks! Charles

lidio at alternative did a great job on my 99 auto conversion

he put in an AOD with beefed up clutches and we used a baumenator to control it

i had a 3500/3800 precision stall to keep it streetable

60's with the 5 speed were around 1.51's, (dumping around 6k), with the more mild stall, 1.62's to 1.67's seemed to be the average

biggest thing is put in a very good tranny cooler when you start making massive power
