Are you guys who have contributed so much to the SVTPerformance forum going to post on both sites, or is the creation of this site going to slow the posts over there? SVTPerformance was the first site I found after buying my car, and I feel like a lot of what I have learned has come from folks I now see over here.
I'm a novice on this stuff and don't know the drill.

This is my main forum now. I am still checking SVTperformance, but unless I read something that I just can't pass up responding to, I will just be posting here.

Time will tell. I will continue to post to both forums. To avoid cross-posting (forum SPAM), I will continue to start threads at SVTP and carry them over to MF if I find the responses unsatisfactory. Eric Brooks has mentioned that he would prefer that posts remain technical in nature. MF as an SVTP+ perhaps?

I am going to probably be posting here. SVTP has got a little watered down an MF wants this to be mostly technically which is what I want. I will no be visiting Superstallions.

This will be my new home too. Will continue to browse the svtperf forum for useful info (keyword: USEFUL) but I will prolly do most of my posting here. The svtperf 03 forum is more like a lounge type area, like if I want an opinion on a new carbon fiber dash kit.... wait..............that would be a Corral thread. hehehehehe j/k Corral members.

I am basically doing what JT is doing. This is my main forum I will post at, but I do go over to SVTperformance just to see what is going on, but i rarely post there anymore.

I am sure that there are folks over there that contributed to your knowledge. But the original 03 poineers that brought us most of our current knowledge and that started at svtperformance are here now.

The board is important, but not nearly as important as the people. The board is the vehicle by which we all communicate. If something gets in the way of that communication (like BS politics, censorship, commercialism, overcrowding, etc) the flock moves on. The important thing is that the key people stick togather.

Its all about procuring a vendor-neutral and politics-free (cough!cough!) forum for open communication so that 03 Cobra owners can benefit as much as possible. Looks like we have that here.

Amazon Racing hosts this forum but he does not try to eclipse us from other parts that may be good for our cars and the 03 evolution.

Besides, if he tries to put out a part that doesn't work, Jimmy V. will crucify him on this board!

It all started for us at svtperformance and I appreciate the site and don't forget that they helped many of us congrugate. I stop by there from time to time and, like JT said, only post when I can't resist the urge. But their format is such that only paying vendors can advertise and that element limits us on what we can find out and share with each other.

Hammer,,A well written post as usual.
I would just like to add That Svtperformce's 03 cobra site is also great for all of us.
They are #1 we are #2 and having both much better then having just either one.
I also post there and never had problems ,There vendor rules are clearly stated and the moderators there i believe handle that job well. (NOT EASY)
There were a few issue earier on.I really think now they have a handle on it. GROWING PAINS!!

No more responses needed -- I think Hammer and Jim V. did a fine job of answering my conceptual question.
thanks
