Luis Guerra and Brandon Foley are local Memphis boys. Luis has a 2.8 pullied DSG coupe and Brandon a 2.8 pullied white convertible. Congrats to all. Looks like an excellent turn out.

Most of the 03 cobras ran in the 03 Cobra shootout class. There may have been 2-3 in MM. There was that one yellow one that ran in the 9s...

Who told you this info?

I talked to Works on Friday.. Their 03 140's are 5 weeks out, just in time for Sema.

I saw a picture of the Works for the Lightning, and it looked really impressive. 5 weeks huh? I think by next Spring we should be seeing our fare share of Works-blown Cobras making strides toward that 10 second street car barrier.

Nice to finally have another option, I'll keep waiting.

Vapor to those who are clueless.
I'm wouldn't say im clueless, I haven't even thought about contacting Works until i know that it is out. The blower has been talked about on this and other forums for at least a year. Due last fall......................due after the first.......................due last spring...............due in the summer................. Its no biggie, I can understand why these things take so much time. But until it is out, that is all it is. Vapor mods. Just being realistic.

No, it was in development for the Lightining last year and up through June of this year. Not for the Cobra. The Cobra kits were just started and only require a little bit of modification from the Lightning kit to work on a Cobra.

Im still curious to know who told you they would have a W140 for the BG event.:shrug

As I recall there were some delays with the Kenne Bell blower, does anyone else remeber that the product was released way after it was supposed to be? There were rumors of it for a while before it hit the streets.

Don't player hate. We will see if these works blowers can do some damage to the KB cars. It's gonna be fun having another route to explore.

I saw the works blower for the Lightning at BG. The vendor next to Amazon had one on his table. He said that the works for the Cobra has a more efficient design than the Kenne Bell and more cubic inches. He also said the screws turn at a 3 to 5 ratio. The vendor said there would be no oil spray problem with the works blower. He said Nov. for the release. This is what I was told by the vendor, not what I know for a fact.

On another new product note, the Predator was there at JLP and Diablo but different vendors had differing opinions on what was possible with it. It's still so new that we may have to wait a while for guys to test it for better info. One of the differing opinions questions was whether the Predator needed to be sent in for a new tune to be installed or if you could do it over the internet. Another was storing tunes either in the Predator or on a pc. It was up in the air about what software would be required to store programs or download to the Predator. One vendor said 2.9 pulley tune included. The other said 2.8. The cost of different tunes was also not known but estimated to be 0-$75. This info is from conversations with the vendors so take it for what it's worth.

If you want to see some pics of the '03 people hanging at Amazon, they are here:

The vendor Flyin High is talking about would be me. The Works 140 for the 03 Cobra was never "already supposed to be out". Works was shooting for a November release date, and as of right now, they are on schedule. I will be happy to keep everyone informed on the progress/release.
