'when I put stickies on the car, is the goal to launch as close to the rpm where I'm making most boost/peak hp?

ive yet to take my car to the track and launch on sticky tires, but a buddy of mine (nastystage2) said when he launched at 5500 it wanted to bog...that was on ET streets.

I'd think you'd want to launch where you have the most TORQUE. or maybe a little above it. torque is what spins the tires, horsepower makes them spin faster.

Horsepower: THe force that determines how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: THe force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.

i have 3.73's and i was using Et Drags and the car bogged from 4500-5800, i was pulling 60ft.s from 1.8-1.69, next run i launched at 6200 and pulled a 1.58 60ft, then i launched at 6500 and pulled a 1.51 60ft! thats with a 5spd

Last time out I launched at 4600 and pulled off a 1.58 60ft with 28.0 x 10.5 ET Drag slicks and 4.30 gears.
