Hey guys check out this thread.
http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=356906&referrerid=18176

It is a link to the video of 2fast4u.They bash it up and down talking about how the supercharger sounds "annoying", "03's sound like shit" and a 600 rwhp 03 doesnt impress them.
Knowing there is atleast one KB car in the Toms River area I decided to talk a little smack.Nobody has replied to it yet. I invite anyone who wishes to join the site and talk some smack.
As you guys know I am not biased between cars and the more I learn about the 03's,the more I want one and lose interest in the SS (yes I said it).The SS will stay because I have too much involved with it but the idea of an 03 will be considered in a few years.
Check it out.

I love how they say "ewwww i hate the sound, that HAS to get annoying." How long do they think I can stay in boost? Driving around and at idle you would think my car is stock except for the aftermarket exhaust and doesn't have a supercharger at all. The supercharger is silent even with the hood up until you are at 9# or higher boost.

I personally like the sound. They are just trying to find a way to make fun of a car with 600 rwhp on a stock motor. Lets see if any of them bite.I bet Hammer would race some of those homos on the board

There is nothing more intimidating then the sound of a supercharger or turbo winding up. I love the sound.

Here is what the KB really costs.

Here is what it really cost me
$3300 - Kenne Bell Supercharger @ 17psi
$550 - Diablo custom chip with 1 hour on dyno tune by Patrick
$90 - Denso Iridium IT22
$350 - Accufab Throttle Body
$150 - Metco Idler
$200 - Steeda CAI
$330 - HBH oil spit kit
$1000 - QMP 3" exhaust with cats and straight through mufflers
--------
$5970 - Total for speed

No spark blow-out and no fuel pressure issues. Injectors are running a slightly higher pressure then stock, but at a lower duty-cycle therefore larger injectors are not necessary.

Some of the guys there are cool and others are not. I personally like most performance cars. I wanted a Z-06, but my wife has this theory that people who drive vettes cheat on their spouses. If Toyota still brought the Supra TTs in the country I would have certainly bought one of those. I would love a Viper and my wife actually wanted me to buy one, but there is no way I could use that as a daily drive and take it into Miami. So I purchased the 03 for that reason and for ~45k I have a 600 rwhp daily driver with full suspension and a/c.

The "Ring Wraith's" were the evil cloaked inmortal soldiers in Lord of the Rings whose sole purpose was to find the Ring of Power.

Next time any narrow-minded individual says stupid things about 03 Cobras, kindly point them to the Boosted List on LS1Tech.com and compare times.

www.blackls1ta.com/boosted_list.htm

And while you are at it, ask them how many of those cars are still using the factory 10-bolt rear end.

Then ask them when they will produce a stock bottom end, stock heads, stock cam car that can run 9s.

All cars have strengths and weaknesses but some of the comments about 03 Cobras is just downright ludicrous at best.

The closest car that you can compare an LS1 to 03 is Rob's car from QMP. He went 9.94 with an auto "and I think" stock motor. But I am sure he has a 12 bolt.

Exactly. And don't get me wrong, I'm a car guy so I could care less what another person drives but somethings crack me up.

Sorry if I seemed angry, I had a run in with a sore loser in a vette bad mouthing my car since it had a blower, although he refused to pop his hood.

It shows you are open minded. It takes a strong person to fight ones enemies, but a stronger one to fight ones friends.

Posting Guidelines for LS1.COM's Forums
LS1.COM's forums were established in 1998 to create a friendly environment for LS1 enthusiasts to interact in laid back, family-orientated environment. In order to foster this friendly interaction and create an environment where ALL LS1 enthusiasts feel comfortable posting and hanging out, we have created a set of rules and guidelines which all members are required to follow. These rules are general in nature, as it is impossible to spell out every possible offense that may result in a thread being locked, deleted, or edited. The rules are as follows:

1. Expletives
Expletives (swear words) are not allowed, and for good reason. Many people are deeply offended by vulgar language. If you feel you must swear to get your point across, please censor your language appropriately so as to not be overly offensive. (e.g., "S***!") Replacing one or two letters in an expletive by using ASCII characters (! for I, etc) is not an acceptable solution.

2. Spamming
Spamming or business advertisements by businesses who do not sponsor LS1.COM is not allowed. Threads or PMs determined to be "spam" will be deleted or forwarded to the Administration, This type of posting could possibly result with privileges to our board restricted or denied without notice. Lottery schemes being advertised on this board are considered Spam. Excessive advertisement of other "for profit" forums is also considered spam, and will be dealt with accordingly. If you are interested in sponsoring LS1.COM, please send inquiries to [email protected]. To offer added support to our Sponsors, we would ask that you refrain from recommending non-sponsor businesses, products, or services that are in direct competition to our Sponsors in your thread replies. If you wish to offer another source to our Members, please use the PM or e-mail option to give the information to our Members in a private manner. We will remove information in threads that will reduce revenue for our Sponsors.

Soliciting for Members of this site to go and join another site is also considered a form of Spam. Mentioning another site for reference or as an information source is acceptable but direct solicitation aimed at our Members to bolster some other site's Membership is inappropriate and subject to Moderator disciplinary action.

3. Flames or Derogatory Insults
Flames or derogatory insults are strictly against the rules. If you disagree with another member's point of view, do so in a mature and civil manner. If someone posts to discuss their personal problems or seek help from other forum members, please do not respond unless you have something positive or helpful to add. If you find yourself being flamed or insulted by another member, please do not dignify that person with a response. Notify a moderator and let us handle it. If you feel you must respond to a flame or insult directly, please do NOT do so on the board. Use private messages or e-mail.

Suggestion: If you are particularly irritated by another member's posting habits and are constantly fighting the urge to flame them, you can click on that person's profile, and select "Add to ignore list." This will make that person's posts invisible to you.

4. Threats, Racism, or Sexism
Threads or replies promoting or expressing intolerant views towards minorities (race, religion, sexual preference, etc.) will not be tolerated.

5. Porn
Porn is not welcome here. Pictures showing nudity may be allowed in our off-topic section if an appropriate "Not Work Friendly" warning is posted in the subject line, and the picture is at worst, "R-rated." "X-rated" pictures, sites, or links are and will remain strictly against the rules.

6. Avatars or Signatures
Avatars and Signatures: the same rules that apply to your posts apply to your signatures and avatars. Please keep this in mind when selecting your avatar or signature.

7. Free Posts
"Free posts", or posting solely for the purpose of boosting your post count is also not allowed. Many people judge member's credibility based on post count, so we ask that you obtain your post count legitimately. Furthermore, free posts waste server space and ISP bandwidth unnecessarily. Threads to announce your post count are considered free posts and will be locked. "In B4 Da lock" is considered Free posting too. Free post abusers will have 100 posts deducted on their first transgression warning and 500 posts on each subsequent transgression of the rule. Any post containing smilies only will be considered Free Posting, and as such is not welcome here.

Signature tests and avatar tests will be allowed in "The junk yard" forum, where posts do not count towards your post count. In other forums, they will be treated as free posts.

8. Posting in Appropriate Forums
Please post your topics in the most appropriate forum (i.e., tech threads only in tech forums). If you post a thread that would be more appropriate in another forum, a moderator will move it for you. However, please do not make the moderators do this for you. Use your judgment to determine which forum(s) best suits your topic. If you are dealing with a TECHNICAL topic and it could appropriately fit in more than one forum, you may post it in multiple forums. Multiple posting or X-Posting should be held to a maximum of 2 forums. (e.g. Help & Engine, Forced Induction and Engine)

9. Controversial Topics
Controversial topics, such as religion, abortion, retardation, racism, etc., will NOT be allowed. Although these topics usually start out civilly enough, experience has shown that these sort of topics invariably disintegrate into all out flame wars and heated arguments.

10. Drugs
Threads/replies promoting illicit drugs/narcotics will not be allowed.

11. Illegal Activities
Threads/replies encouraging other illegal/unethical action (like "Best way to kill neighbor's dog?") will not be allowed.

12. Poop/Violence/Sex Threads
"Poop" threads, or similarly immature and offensive topics (graphic sex, specific sex act, violence, snuff films or violent sexual acts) will not be allowed.

13. Trolling
"Trolling", or makings posts with the sole intention of creating problems on the forums is obviously against the forum guidelines. This includes registering an alternate ID for the sole purpose of creating problems on the forums. "Troll ID's" will be locked immediately and permanently, and can be locked without notification to the offender.

14. LS1.com Bashing
Threads/replies attacking LS1.COM's policies will not be allowed.

15. Police Bashing
Persistent or purposeful "cop bashing" is not allowed. Referring to a LEO, cop, policeman, etc is appropriate but unproven defamatory remarks or titles will not be tolerated.

16. Posting Harmful URL's
Any Member of the LS1.COM site that posts malicious or harmful URL links that cause:
• other Member's PCs to become locked or have to be rebooted in order for the PC to regain functionality (Like the link to the "You're an idiot" page that ends up spawning countless little browser windows dancing all over your screen)
• "screaming", (cannot be viewed safely for content or sound at work)
• Links that add another forum member to your ignore list

Will lose posting privileges for 3 or more days. A repeat offender may be permanently banned from the board.

17. Sponsor Bashing
Our paying Sponsors deserve respect and restraint. Attacking a sponsor on the board is strictly prohibited. If you have a complaint with a sponsor, you may send the information directly to an Administrator and it will be passed directly to the Sponsor for action or resolution. If you do post on the board about a specific problem involving a sponsor, please remain calm and state the facts. Do not let emotion cloud the issue at hand. When your thread is read by a moderator, the moderator will do the following:

A) Lock the thread and place a copy of the thread in the Moderator Forum OR the Sponsor Forum. These forums are not visible to the members but I assure you they do exist.
B) Reply to the locked thread that (A) has taken place.
C) The moderator or Administrator will update the locked thread with the response from the Sponsor OR the Sponsor will contact you directly.

We really hope situations can be resolved off-line but we will not prohibit a statement of fact BUT we will control the thread so as to stop the "Hate" or "Me too" replies these threads often generate.

If the situation resolution seems to be totally unacceptable or completely ignored, you should contact the Board owner, Brad Swaney, directly with your situation. Send all pertinent information to [email protected]

18. Attacking Forum Moderators
Posting a thread or reply to question or criticize moderator or administrator actions is not appropriate in a public forum. Please utilize the board's Private Message function, or e-mail, if you wish to discuss these issues. As long as you bring up your concerns maturely and civilly to the moderator or administrator in question, we will do our best to address your concerns fairly and promptly.

Here are the "Do's" and "Don'ts" of addressing your concerns to moderators or administrators:

"Do" be civil and polite. Bring up your concerns in a mature and respectful manner. If you are contacting us because you violated forum guidelines, be adult enough to admit your mistake. If your ID has been locked for some reason, talking politely to us about it in private, via e-mail or private message, can get your ID reinstated in many cases.

"Do not" be derogatory or insulting towards us. You will not get what you want by name calling or bashing us.

All we ask is that you treat us the way you would want us to treat you. If you treat us with respect, we will do the same for you.

19. Classified Policies
#1 - You must own what you are selling. Do not post ads for friends.

#2 - You must list a price. "OBO" is acceptable provided you sell the item to someone that offers the listed price. Correct selling ettiquette would be reserving the product to the first person that posts in the thread and offers the minimum posted price. A PM is not an offer for an item as it negates the purpose of the public thread.

#3 - There is absolutely no bidding allowed.
Going offline and using e-mail to conduct bidding is unacceptable. Prices must be listed. No "best offer" posts without a minimum price.

#4 - No retail sales that are in competition with our sponsors! They pay to advertise here and sell new parts. If you wish to sell retail items on LS1.COM, you must become a site sponsor!

#5 - Links to eBay auctions are OK in this forum provided the following guidlines are followed:

The thread heading or subject line must clearly state it concerns an ebay auction. Subject line should look something like this:

1998 Silver Z28 On E-bay
Set of 98 TA seats on E-bay

Post ONLY your auction links. No listing for a friend or "Look what I saw on E-bay" type posts.

Do your bidding on Ebay...not here. If a member has an item on ebay but has a FIRM price for Ls1.com members that he will take before the auction ends, that would be okay to post in the threads body.

#6 - Firearms or related items are not allowed to be offered on this site.

In order to protect this site from Federal problems we cannot allow the selling, trading, or buying of any gun or weapon related items.

There are federal laws on the shipping of firearms to other states and certain licenses are required. Rather than trying to verify the presence of these licenses, we have stopped all ads for this type of item.

Thank you for your understanding of our position

That's about it. Just use your common sense and don't abuse the board by filling it up with E-bay auctions. Remember, the Classified forums were created to hook-up other LS1.com members to sell and find parts with-in our community.
20. LS1.COM site Communications
Using the LS1.COM e-mail link or the LS1.COM PM process to send threats of violence, racial attacks, or sexually harassing messages is prohibited. You will be warned once and the 2nd offense is 7 days restriction from the board. Any additional offense of this nature will result in a permanent ban from the site.

Anyone that feels they are a victim of this problem should immediately contact a moderator or a site Administrator for assistance. DO NOT DELETE THE MESSAGE(S) Please keep the offending message(s) on hand so that you can forward them to the Administrator, as evidence, for action against the perpetrator.

General Dos and Don'ts

If you violate forum guidelines, in most cases, you can expect the following action from the moderators/administrators:

1. First offense- warning via private message, e-mail, and/or moderator reply in the offending thread

2. Second offense- 3-day lock of your ID

3. Subsequent offense- longer ID locks, possibly permanent

Please realize that the nature of the offense will determine the action to be taken. If the violation is extreme enough, or has been repeated enough times in the past, a member can have his/her ID locked without a warning.

Threads or replies that do not comply with our guidelines may be locked, edited, or deleted, depending on the nature of the offense. We will make every effort to state why such action was taken via private message, e-mail, and/or moderator reply in the offending thread. For this reason, we ask that you check your private messages often. You can find out whether or not you have received any private messages by logging into your user CP. You can set your options so that the board notifies you when you have received a private message, if you so desire.

The above rules and guidelines are necessary to make LS1.COM's forums comfortable and enjoyable for ALL LS1 and automotive enthusiasts. If you feel you can not comply with the rules above, please refrain from using LS1.COM's forums.

Thank you,

LS1.COM's Administrators
