Hey Harry;

The reason why I am asking is when I last Dyno'd my "Elenor" she ran lean, remember my thread? Anyway, I was trying to rack my brain to figure out why it might be running lean before I send the chip back to Rick, then I remembered something that I either heard or read about the MAF screen. I remember that if the screen was taken out, then it would cause a lean condition, but like I said it could have been a rumor, so I reinstalled it just in case. Well it's just a thought? Any other thoughts?

The screen just is supposed to straighten out any turbulances. By taking it out it should not effect the a/f unless you have some bends before the maf.

Just a thought, but if the filter for the A/F meter on the dyno is clogged it will show a false lean condition. Ask the dyno shop if they have serviced that filter lately.

Also, if they used a tailpipe sniffer, any exhaust leaks will show up as a lean condition also.
