Just purchased a T-56 MGW shifter, Should I purchase the MGW Shifter Inner Dust Boot or use the original setup? Claims to better seal unit and allow for easier shifting. Anyone have experience with these & is it a good to use thing or a waste of $? Thanks in advance.

I bought it and put it on with the shifter, I don't really have any input as far as your question goes but I think they also claim it cuts down on the noise too.

I did not purchase it and mine is fine. Great shifter.

No boot here, and I love the MGW.
I'm just about to buy a rebuild kit for it, with 115,000 mi on the shifter.

Thanks for the replies! Will probably go without the aftermarket boot and see how the noise level is. Thought someone might have done without and with for a comparison shifting/noise difference.
