Missing Piston after PI Head install. Parts for sale

Had a little tapping sound after i changed to PI Heads and installed some SHM cams. Heads were milled 5 1000th.
We thought it were the lifters, so we warmed up the engine and reved it up to 3000 rpm, it was running fine excapt for that tapping sound, but that started to go away.
After we let the engine cool down and tried to start it again the engine jammed the timing chains jumped and it wouldn't start at all.
I took the left side head back off....
my #5 piston was gone ...completely and the connecting rod went right through the cylinder wall.
:jawdrop
We have no idea why or how that happened ...

Counted all bolts nuts washers etc. and i am missing nothing and no tools.
I am sure i didn't drop anything into the cylinder.
But i've really no idea what could have caused that.

Pictures coming soon....

Thinking abaout dropping my 750HP 460BB in my 98 Stang.:evil
Or building a 4.6 stroker Engine..
I am not sure yet.

YEAH!!!! Some terrorist stole it. :lol

No we have no idea why but the piston broke into pices that are all in the oilpan.

My theory is maybe the piston was weak (engine had 60k miles)
and the increased compression with the new heads gave it the rest.

Very well could have been a valve, its a must to check piston to valve clearance when swapping PI heads onto a 96 to 98 4.6. Its very close because of the piston design on the pre 99s. Plus you put cams with more lift and milled the head.
