I was planning on running nylon fuel line but had a question about the connections. For the quick connect fittings like what connects to the fuel pump you just heat up the line in hot water and push it onto the barbed end of the fitting. Does this work for other barbed connections as well such as onto a barbed fuel filter or onto a spring lock connection? Or do you have to use the pinch on efi clamps?

I just saw a picture of of 5.0 and apparently they had (at least the year I saw) nylon fuel line attached to the spring lock going to the fuel rail. It didn't have any clamps on it so I guess if it was good enough for ford its good enough for me.
